Located in Saxapahaw, North Carolina just a stone's throw from the heart of the historic and newly restored mill village. This country inn rests on over 20 acres of rolling pastures and hardwood forest, along the banks of the beautiful Haw River.
Welcome to the River Landing Inn. Our three guest room bed and breakfast offers clean and comfortable accommodation. Each room has its own private bath, a pillowtop mattress, comfortable linens, and the work of local artists to create a restful setting. We are located in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, within 20 minutes of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Pittsboro, Mebane, Hillsborough and Burlington, and less than an hour from Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. This beautiful spot is the perfect location in which to spend a relaxing weekend enjoying the outdoors, and with all the comforts of home.
The beauty of the Piedmont is well reflected on the grounds of River Landing Inn. Hickory, oak, maple, poplar and dogwood trees abound. Blackberry bushes line our entryway and paths. Acres of rolling pasture surrounds the Inn, and lead to a walking trail overlooking the Haw River. Deer, rabbits, a wide variety of birds and other wildlife are seen from the comfort of an outdoor picnic table or lawn chair, along the walking trails, or from the privacy of your own courtyard.
Fresh beans are ground each morning for a delicious cup of coffee to start your day. A contintental breakfast consisting of homemade breads, muffins, jams, a variety of cold cereals and granola, fresh fruit, milk and juice are also included. With advance notice, we can provide more specific items for breakfast. If you are not going out to the Saxapahaw General Store or The Eddy for dinner, feel free to use the outdoor grill to have your own picnic or cookout.
Benjamin Vineyards and Winery, one of the award-winning wineries on the Haw River Wine Trail, is within walking distance of the River Landing Inn. Enjoy being on the water? The Haw River Canoe and Kayak Company, provides rentals and paddling tours for those wanting to spend a day on the river. Looking for a unique dining experience for lunch or dinner,visit the nearby Saxapahaw General Store for a taste of the Piedmont. The Eddy, a new pub to Saxapahaw, is also open evenings for dinner and/or a drink.
